This is a work in progress and reflects only my
views. I have included some links to world government pages, but as I have said
this is a work in process and I currently have other priorities.
September 11
I woke up this morning to
find a world
changed.
My heart breaks nothing will ever be the same.
Four planes wrought terror down from the sky.
Two towers collapse that once rose so high
A pentagon damaged beyond belief
Tireless workers trying to bring some relief
To those who lost love ones who won't give up
hope. The loss so great how can anyone cope?
Workers who try not to show their fears
as each day hope fades. Each moment like
years. While a world unites "Asking what can we do?"
A Nation Unites wrapped in red white and blue.
United we stand divided we fall. How can we
back down when our back is against the wall?

We wish to express our deep and heartfelt sympathy for the victims of the World
Trade Center and their friends and family. For those of you who don't know how
or where to donate, we recommend your local Red
Cross office or online. We recommend the Red Cross because they do worldwide rescue
and although we hope there are no unscrupulous people that will take advantage
of this situation, we know any donations to the Red Cross will get to where
they are intended. But we all must remember, September 11th is not
the only tragedy that occurs that the Red Cross responds to. They need working capitol to assist all
victims of both man made and natural disasters. Although we urge donations to the victims we caution you to know
who you are donating to. Here is
another charity that appears legitimate.
It is the Uniform Fire Fighters
Association. I received
this information via email and haven’t had time to check it out. Certainly our hearts and prayers go out to
the families of the Fire and Rescue workers as well as the families of the
victims of the Pentagon and all those who were effected by this tragic
event.
This page which lists both survivors list and victims list. It is the War Records Pages Also here is a article written by Canadian
radio commentator Gordon
Sinclair in 1973 reflecting his feelings about America.
What I find difficult to understand is why we are calling it an attack on
America.
It was an attack on the
world!!!
How better to disrupt the world economy than to hit
the World Trade Center? This building housed worldwide companies. We are not
the only country who lost some of it’s citizens. Great Britain lost
over 500 people. I would like to see September 11 declared as World Freedom Day, a worldwide holiday to
commemorate those who lost their lives and the uniting of the world in it’s
determination and resolve to end terrorism. With the shrinking world due to the
economy and air travel, we must unite as one world. We can no longer hide our
heads in the sand, in a complacent state of vulnerable invulnerability. We are
all brothers united under one sun, living on one earth. We can no longer afford
to let the color of our skin, our religion, our sexual orientation or what ever
differences we may have separate and dictate the relationships in our lives.
Everything seems so inconsequential after the events of September 11, 2001. We
urge you to contact your leaders worldwide in this effort.
Our love and prayers go out to all those effected by this tragedy.

If
we haven’t linked your government, it is because I have been unable to locate
the home page or your government doesn’t have a home page. Remember also, this takes time and
research. If your government is not
listed and you can find a home page please email me with your information, most
of the web sites were found via Yahoo. I speak only English and am disabled and
would appreciate the help. This is not
intended to be a political statement but only a resource for you to express
your view to your government or another world government. After all, we are one world. Over 65 Nations were represented in the
World Trade Center. This was an attack
on the world.
Although
most Americans are appalled by the news footage of the Palestinian citizens
cheering the attack on the World Trade Center, I would like to remind everyone,
these people were exercising their right to freedom of speech that we hold so
dear. I pray that we can separate the
message these people portrayed from the people themselves not alienate the
Palestinians most of which were as
appalled as most Americans. Do not
discriminate against these people the color of their skin, their fashions or
style of dress, or religion because subconsciously you equate these outward
appearances to the terrorists. I
believe the world is now suffering from Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder as a result of the attacks.
I hope you will your support this effort and you will contact your
government in support of Designating September 11th as :
Federal Republic of Yugoslavia
